Well, it is Summer, and summer spells Festival Season. At least here in Germany.
Over the next 3 months I will be backpacking my way across the country visiting Rock,Elektro and Reagge Festivals.Good clean,drunken fun.

Are there any good Festivals in the US of A? I mean,you guys had Woodstock and all that Jazz. And I think there is a Huge one somewhere in Texas.

In Milwaukee we have the Big Gig, which is part of Summerfest. It's 10 days of music with headliners on the big stage (tickets required) and 3 or 4 small stages with free gigs. Too many bands to name, spanning a variety of genres.

I would love to go to the states one of these days to attend one of the Bigger Ones.Must be freaking Crazy.
The biggest one we have here in Germany is "Rock am Ring" 150k people over 4 days.But its so commerciallised that it isnt any fun anymore.Cant bring your own drinks anymore,so you have to buy overprized,watered down beer from the official sponsors.

I went to Graspop Metal Meeting last two years in a row, but decided against going this year because 1) my vacation will be expensive and 2) the lineup was crap.

There's still a bunch of festivals that I want to see at least once in my lifetime, like Sziget (Hungary) Wacken Open Air (Germany) and probably Lowlands (The Netherlands).

Wacken YOu watched the Movie Full Metal Village? It's a docu about the festival. I went there once,but I kinda left the Metal Phase.The Athmosphere is awsome,and eventhough Metlers look hard on the outside,there is no group as friendly as they are. We were like "Oh noez! No more beer!" then the guys from the tent next to ours were all like "We'll share our beer with you till your done with your Beer Run.Then we'll mooch some of you." Great.

On the other Hand, last weekend I was at the Abifest Lingen, a free Festival organized by the Kids that finished their Abitur (um..kind like Community Colle,or sumthing like that). Mostly Hipster (or at least wannabe) and unfriendly as fuck.

Here in San Diego they have the county fair for a month starting in June. Back in NJ, in the town next to my hometown they have a week long Italian festa and carnival. That place is barely a dot on the map though and the carnival was only "big" if you lived in the area.

Burning Man, in Nevada. That is all. *grins*

Bonnaroo, Tennessee....we depart tomorrow for the 4 day concert

Just coming back from my two week vacation. Dallas was kick ass nd Bonnaroo was awesome, as it is every year. a lot of really great acts like Jay Z and conan o brien and dropkick murphies made it good times. Not to mention the alcohol and girls all over
