Marine:

Alien:

These are demonstrations of the 360 version but they say work in progress on 'em.
So far it looks to be like a fun game although being a Marine looks like its nerve racking most of the time.
I'm greatly anticipating this more so than ME2.

I see the Alien gameplay is as seizure inducing as ever...

Well look who never played an AvP game before.

Also, you don't need to make a new thread for every new vid (that's why i posted the marine one in the old thread a while back, but relax, that video got pulled).

Huh and yeah I played the AvP2 on the pc. It's just been awhile since there was a new avp game to look forward too.

No I mentioned the Marine would be nerve wracking. I hated that motion detector ping.

No, you said it "looks like its", implying no foreknowledge... had you added a "still" i would not have came to the wrong conclusion.

Thanks for the vids. This game looks great. Will def play it. Man does FPS play like shit on the console.

Looks kinda cool. Though for the rine' gameplay, you'd think they would stay silent while jumping. Constant boot thumps on steel and loud grunts while jumping is just going to attract xenomorphs to your location lol..

Is there a PC port? Might check it out if I get time while playing STO

It comes out for all three systems: PS3, PC, and 360 on February 16th then on the 19th for Europe

New trailer of the survival mode with 4 player co op. Can't wait.

The alien play just looked terrible to me. The transitions between wall/ceiling/floor were god awful. Not nearly fluid enough. On top of that the Marines seemed so remarkably stupid that it wasn't even interesting watching them get killed. I never played AvP2, but this definitely doesn't meet my seal of approval from when I played AvP 1. I just watched a youtube vid of the alien gameplay and yeah, this is terrible compared to the old way. Plus the lack of the weird walleye vision. The marine gameplay didnt look terrible, but honestly I didn't actually see any gameplay. No combat at all, just anger levels slowly rising as the idiot running the marine spent 2 minutes trying to get into the last room.

The predator video looked a little more promising, but I don't know about that whole "distract" option. It seems like it would disrupt the flow of the game way too much. Oh, and for people who don't know what I am talking about with the way Aliens moved in the first one, here you go:

So, is there a mode ala Left 4 Dead that pits all three of them together in multiplayer goodness? Because other than that, the Predator looked neat and the Marine gameplay looked creepy--the ping put me on edge. I'll probably give this a rent when it comes out.

I think there's death match, species deathmatch, that co op wave thing and another one.
With the some of the multiplayer modes from what I've seen you can select to be different species on the same team.

From watching the old videos of AvP2 with alien vision mode and this mode. I prefer the new one than the old one. It was weird seeing eveything in white while targets were highlighted in blue.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO................

And the ping thing is creepy, no matter how many times you've played it...

The ping just reminds me of freaky scenes from Aliens. Same tracker, same sound.

Didn't seem disorienting to me, though I agree that those marines were friggin' idiotic.

UP! look UP! They're always UP, you morons!

Read a bit about it in the latest Game Informer. There seems to be varied multiplayer. The lady also mentioned the alien part is kind of disorienting.

What kind of bummed me out was that each campaign is only about 4 hours a piece. I was hoping the Marine section would be much longer.

Just wait for DLC. I'm sure they'll add more missions and content
Btw have they released the system specs for the PC yet? I have a reserved copy for the PS3, but am waiting for them to release the specs; because I don't know if my PC will be able to handle it or not.

Totally stoked for this game, as I was a big fan of the original. I remember once I played a multiplayer game where I was the Predator against everyone else, who were Marines. I got my ass kicked badly. Damn online bastards who play the game WAY too much.

That said, I think I'll wait awhile to get this. I could get it on PS3, but me and console FPS' don't gel well. I'll have to get a better gaming laptop. The one I have now can barely play Half-Life 2. =/

It wasn't disorienting, not really. It was disorienting only because it was so fucking kludgy. On the other hand, in the original AvP that was probably insanely disorienting to lots of people, but to me it was perfect. I dunno, different strokes I guess.

Original AvP Alien gameplay could get really disorienting, but it did flow better then it does in the new trailer. Still looks like an awesome LAN game though.

I love at that old Aliens video and all I think of is "No Clip". New Aliens video is sweetass and I can't wait to play it. Feel free to enjoy the classics though.
