For the last couple of days I have been hungry for chili which means I am also hungry for fritos and a sweet roll. When I was in school we would have a lunch that was chili, fritos and a sweet roll so now I associate those things with each other. I was wondering if you guys have any foods that you always eat together for really no other reason than you always have?

Chocolate and Peanut Butter. I would swim in it.
I'm also a fan of Chili + Fritos = Frito Pie

One of my wife's favorite meals is: Roasted chicken, sharp cheddar cheese, pickles, hard bread, and a tart fruit (usually grapes). It is a very specific combination!

I love deli sliced roast beef wrapped around a slice of sharp cheese with a nice seedless green grape.

I like ketchup on my grilled cheese. Lots of it.
You mean you pour it on there? I dip mine in ketchup.

Man this thread was an awful idea. I have only eaten saltines in the last 24 hours. I am le hungry.

So have a little snack... and then FIRE ZE MISSILES

One I'm afraid to try but hear really good things (I think Charlie was the first one to mention this a while back) is Ramen drained with chili.

This is the kind of thing I am talking about. How did she end up preferring that?

Cincinnati chili five ways:
Spaghetti noodles
Beef chili (no beans)
Onions
Black beans (or kidney)
Cheddar cheese

I'm lactose intolerant, so everything but the cheese sounds amazing on that....

Mac and cheese with sriracha.

-edit-

Oh yeah, I haven't done this since college, but buttered noodles/rice with a little soy sauce. Surprisingly tasty.

Wasabi Poptart

Tomato soup with pieces of American cheese in it. Like makare, I used to have this as part of a school lunch. We'd get the bowl of soup with crackers and little blocks of cheese. So I'd throw the cheese in the soup. I can't imagine it any other way.
