If I remember correctly, one of the arguments in favor of the scanners was that it couldn't save the images, nor could the images be downloaded off of them.

But in cnn's reporting of the story, they a photo of one of the scanned tsa employees (from the rear, though)

looks like nobody considered the possible use of cameras.

It's always the tiny details that cause these issues to grow until they climax.
