So your crazy American Thanksgiving meant I didn't get my new Community last night, but unbeknownst to pretty much everyone, Futurama's Holiday Special aired.

Curious what everyone's thoughts on it were.

Personally, I thought it was pretty good, but not great.

Each story had its moments, but the music was all lackluster at best, and the "laugh out loud" moments were more like snicker moments. I was also hoping for something a bit grander for the midway point between this season and next. It seems like if people have to wait 4 months prior to this, and 4 months after, you want to make a big splash, not have a series of three unremarkable shorts.

Still, a few moments were pretty funny.

To be honest I hope this next season coming is the last. I love this show to death, don't get me wrong, but the season as a whole has failed to live up to the high standards set by seasons 3 and 4. It's been progressively downhill, however slowly, since Bender's Big Score, and I would hate to see them drive it into the ground. I hope they end on a high note (like they did once already)

I think the recent season has been leaps and bounds better than the movies were. Even so-so Futurama is better than 99% of TV.

The holiday special felt a bit flat to me and like the op said the music was somehow off in the episode. Still, a bad Futurama episode is still great tv

I thought the same, it was ok at best.

I liked the last season, it had its ups and downs, but overall a good season. Looking forward to more.

Mayyyyybe it was Al Gore, but I get the feeling they were trying to give us some kind of message throughout the show. I mean, the trees, the oil, the dying bees...

Agreed with OP, not great, but had its moments. I did think the Kwanzaabot was the highlight. The whole episode felt a bit forced.

I sadly have yet to get around to watching the holiday special. I must make it a point to do so very soon.

Ok, wow, got around to watching it. Other than a few laughs including fruit cake and Santa and Kwanzabot, that wasn't very good. Even the animation looked worse than anything I've seen this season.
