That's right folks, it's back!

THE PREMISE: The more you donate to Penny Arcade's "Child's Play" charity, the longer these poor, poor bastards will play the worst game ever created.

THE GAME:

Desert bus is a simple game:

you drive a bus from tucson to las vegas.

in real time

at a top speed of 45 mph.

There is no scenery, traffic, or fun. Every five hours a bug hits the windshield. The bus veers slightly to the right, so you can't leave the game alone for more than thirty seconds, and if you go off the road the bus is towed back to tuscon, in real time. When you reach your destination? You get 1 point, and the option to take the trip back.

The entire thing is unspeakable torture, and for a good cause.

THE CAUSE:

Child's Play, an organisation that gives toys and video games to sick kids in children's hospitals in six countries. Can you think of a better charity than one that helps sick kids?

St. John's is the capitol of Newfoundland.

SAINT JOHN is New Brunswick's largest city, though.

I'd love to but truth be told I cannot afford it. I've done the math and it seems I have $511 to pay for my groceries, laundry, internet, transportation and school supplies for the next 6 months.

I will however bump this thread, thereby at the very least getting this charity and this particular event more attention. I'm sure everyone here is already well aware of Child's Play to begin with, but nonetheless, this serves as extra incentive I suppose, if you like torturing these poor college students.
