I don't know if this mean's a pig's ear to the majority of forumites, but what the hell...
Playwright, essayist, former Czech Republic president, and in my mind one of the greatest Europeans of the late 20th century, Vaclav Havel is dead.
Considering that this slighty-built, whispy-haired Czech was neither a military man nor a leader of a political party, but a writer and yet he managed to be one of the most crucial figures in picking holes at the Sovier facade... I think that makes him worth remembering. He changed the world with his pen.
