GPS Tracking

I've been thinking recently about having the web guy who did up my last blog do up something new and more personal. While I've been pondering what features I want to include, I've been thinking about my intention to travel very soon, and how to integrate some blog functionality there.

The obvious thing to include is a twitter feed, but then I remembered a few months ago when someone posted a link to an article about this lingerie. It got me to wondering about integrating GPS functionality. I know you can geotag photographs on Flickr and stuff like that, and I'm sure there's a way to geotag blog posts, but how about including a real time (or slightly delayed) GPS tracker feed through Google Maps.

I know of Trackstick, but Tracksticks log location and time, and download all that data at the end of the day. I could take that, and post the geo-tracking info a day or two after the fact. But I was hoping there might be a service that will instead transmit location data live? Some sort of a passive GPS receiver that one could carry, that would transmit GPS location through the web or something.

I have heard of some parental devices that sound similar, and I've found websites that sell GPS hardware for cars, but they sort of need to be installed in a car. Is there anything person-sized that one could toss into (or sew into) a backpack or jacket that will do what I'm asking?

Just buy that lingerie and rip out the GPS.

Or wear it. No one'll judge you.

What blog software do you use again?

It sounds like you want something like Google Latitude. I don't have much experience with it, but you can install it on a gps capable phone, and allow friends to track your position from their phone or computer.
