I have nothing more to add to this thread cause you beat me to it.
You know, you listen to the original NIN version of the song and you feel like maybe that Reznor guy knows what pain really feels like. Then you listen to Johnny Cash's version and you can't help but think, "The fuck you know about pain Trent?"I have nothing more to add to this thread cause you beat me to it.
Nightwish is still awesome. Or was in 2008. I haven't listened to the one they released this year.I won't pretend and say I have any kind of taste in music, but back when Tarja Turunen was still in the band, this song rocked my socks off...
So many disagrees. The original beats the shit out of this version. Sorry
Great cover, and the video's amazing.
I don't think a cover has to be better than the original to still be good. Otherwise no one would be cover Hallelujah. So many disagrees. The original beats the shit out of this version. Sorry
Well, duh. I'm saying that that version, in my opinion, is bad. A good cover, like any good adaptation, should both pay respects while creating a unique spin on that source. Sometimes covers happen that are just inessential or bad.I don't think a cover has to be better than the original to still be good. Otherwise no one would be cover Hallelujah.
