I decided to start a new thread on this, because quite frankly I hope to trick more people into clicking on it, and grow this concept.
If you're confused at all, the Halforums Civil War is a series of Risk! games played via email client begun at Phil's prompting in November of Last Year. We just finished up the fourth game in the series, and are about to hopefully begin a fifth.
Here is the wiki page for the Civil War in general.
Wiki pages for individual games:
First Battle of New York
Second Battle of New York
Battle for Planet Earth
First European Conflict [Coming Soon]
First East Asian Conflict [In Progress]
Questions and/or discussion for the series should go in this thread. If you are interested in joining the series, just post it in this thread, and perhaps we can add you to the invite list for game number five, which makes use of the Eastern Asia map on Warlight.net.
Also, if anyone would like to help me with the wiki, let me know. I have a few dozen screen-caps of previous games. I would like to gif-ify them if possible, or somehow represent the battles visually in other ways (a series of maps with various arrows: to give the gist of what happened during the game without flooding the synapses with the details of every last turn)
Finally, I have been told that making new maps for Warlight.net is not a terribly difficult thing to do. If someone would like to conspire to make new and interesting maps to play on, let me know. I have a general idea of how to divide up both St. John's (my current city) and Newfoundland (my home province) to make a decent Risk! map, but I realize that
I might be the only one interested in playing on either of those.
EDIT:
This was the previous Risk! Thread
