So on this day in 1911 three companies merged to form the Computing, Tabulating, and Recording Company. In 1924 the name was changed to International Business Machines.
In the interest of full disclosure I'm currently working as a Co-op (intern, except I get paid and do actual work) at IBM. Also this past week I received an offer for a full-time position after my graduation this December.
TL;DR: My name is Covar and I'm an IBMer.
