Aw yeah, doughnuts everywhere. What's that? Your country doesn't celebrate National Doughnut Day? Guess that's why you lost/needed our help to win WWI.
And because it's not halforums without a food argument, here's a pic of the best variety of doughnut

mmmmm, maple old-fashioned.

makare

I love the maple ones.

Donuts, not the Canadians. Although Canadians are cool too. Bishies.

I miss our krispy kreme. :( I can get them boxed, but they're nowhere near as good as when fresh from the fryer.

And the best part of living close to canada:

The Krispy Kreme that used to be by me went out of business years ago and it still disappoints me.

Cheesy, you're alright by me.

I do love donuts but I have a low donut tolerance. Krispy Kreme are too rich and sweet for me.We have a place in town that makes good donuts but I can't eat too many of them.

They make these donut holes stuffed with creme most people I know can eat a dozen, I can eat 2 MAYBE 3 individual ones. Sigh.

Ok firefox wtf donut isnt a word but donuts is? I realize it is doughnut but that still doesn't make sense.

I do love the long johns, but can't stand creme filled. Chocolate covered all the way.

I love how the most modern form of the donut is called "Old Fashioned."

I love how it's called an old fashioned since it looks like someone used it improperly.

I didn't think cops were allowed to discriminate against donuts.

I really, REALLY hate that stereotype. I make a point of not going NEAR anything doughnut-related, and haven't really had one since the Academy.

The one exception is a particular bakery down here, as I go there to get bribes... I mean "tokens of appreciation" for the maintenance staff at my garage. I keep them happy, they don't keep me waiting overly long for my patrol car. *grins*

The local grocery turned it into a three-day Donut Day weekend. They had freebies at the bakery in front of the store. You could tell who had the powdered donuts because it was rather obvious as they walked through the store with streaks of powdered sugar on their shirts and pants (and face, with this one lady).

I'm all for this holiday, but it'd be a lot better if Tim Hortons actually had a store in Wisconsin, and not in the lower peninsula of Michigan (or across the border in Ontario).
