It's Saint Patrick's, I hope you all have a good time on this day...

May the road rise to meet you
May the sun shine gently upon your shoulders
and may the rain fall gently upon your fields.

Sláinte

Oh man I thought Tom Brazelton had the same idea I did.

Today I am going to the movies and smuggling in alcohol. I hope it's cool!

I have recently quit drinking. This is putting a damper on the holiday.

Did you give it up for Lent, or forever?

Not for lent. I just realized I was getting really, really good at it, what with all the practice, but I wasn't ready to commit to going professional. Not a big fan of attending meetings and all that.

EDIT:
Out of fear that I brought the St. Patrick's Day thread down, I want to point out that Hermie has been drinking since like nine this morning. I swear, I don't know where he puts it.

And just remember...this is what you will sound like if you decide to sing "Danny Boy" after you have been drinking all night tonight.

That was rough. Took the day off from the office, so I was out all Tuesday night, then back up at 7 am to hit up Coleman's Bar here in Syracuse for the drinking festivities with my brother and a friend. Didnt get home til after midnight. A lot of the afternoon and evening is a bit (a lot) hazy.

Needless to say...it was a long long day, and I am having a rough time of it here in the office today.

My two beers and a meal turned into a pub crawl. Got home right at mid-nite. Drank plenty of fluids when I awoke, and I am Golden.

I hope everyone had fun on St. Pats... here in the SAV, home of the second largest St. Pat's celebration in the country, things were decidedly... lackluster. Picked up a handful of people for fighting, had a guy with PTSD, piss-drunk, brain himself on a parking sign, then try and fight the paramedics AND police when we tried to help him (No charges filed, finally got him to the hospital), but for the most part, extremely anemic, insofar as previous celebrations are compared.

2 12-hour shifts in the middle of it kinda made for a skewed perspective, anyways... *rolls eyes*

I did nothing. There was a pub near here that had midgets dressed up like leprechauns and live music. My brother-in-law went, and he had a blast. I feel bad for the midgets though. I hope they were paid well.
