Oh man.. I didn't want to say anything about it before I could be sure not to jinx it, but it's now official.

People, you have no idea what this means to me. As soon as the confirmation that my ticket was bought came I literally jumped up and hollered. I'm still tingling all over.

Paul is almost 70 and rich as fuck. He doesn't NEED to tour... and he hasn't been in Mexico for almost 10 years. This is, almost for sure, the last chance I'll have to see who's really the last surviving member of my musical idols.*

I'm... elated. May 27th can't come soon enough.

*: Yeah, yeah, Ringo's still around, and I like Ringo as much as the next guy, but he's not in the same league as the other 3, so my point is valid. A Ringo concert would have 3 actually good Beatles songs and a frack ton of "guest artists" I don't give a shit about.

You can still see Roger Waters, Turbo. I went to a concert of his last year and it BLEW ME AWAY.

Not quite the same. Pink Floyd to me will always include Roger Waters and David Gilmour.

Well, no, but it's the closest thing and, believe me.. it's fucking worth it. I always thought that a Waters concert would be inferior to a Gilmours concert.... but he really made a case for himself, I didn't even miss Gilmour. Really, truly, you should look into go seeing him before he retires. He gave me goosebumps repeatedly all through the night. It was one of the best shows I've ever seen and experienced. My aunt was in tears through most of it. Y'know, the GOOD tears.

Screw you. Alan Parson's Project is a great band and was more influential than you might expect. Alan Parsons and Eric Wolfson were responsible for working on some of the best albums in history including Sgt. Pepper and Dark Side of the Moon.

Don't diss my APP if you don't know WTF you are talking about.

Uh..dude.. I love Alan Parsons but he had nothing to do with Sgt Pepper's... he was an assistant sound engineer for Abbey Road.

Abbey Road. My bad. You're right. But it's still Abbey fucking Road!

..it was his first gig! He was an ASSISTANT sound engineer. I love him dude, Eye in the Sky is one of my favorite albums, but I wouldn't include an assistant gig as a big influence on the Beatles. Especially considering how zealous George Martin and the band were about the recording.

It was his first gig. Abbey Road was his FIRST CREDIT! And reread what I said. "...working on some of the best albums in history..." and his input to Dark Side is unmistakable and well noted by Pink Floyd. So he may not have had a lot of input on Abbey Road but he was 18 at the time and was given credit. That's gotta be something.

Your point was about the influence he had, which is why you cited the examples, and I agree he had more of a hand on Dark Side, but not really on Abbey Road.

Hell of a start for his career though, that's for sure.
