I've got some spare change recently and I want to add another game to my PS3 library.
I'm switching from being primarily a pc gamer to a console one again its a rough transition.

I'm stuck between choosing Uncharted 2 and the upcoming Rachet and Clank game.

I know I stated this before but I'd like to continue the next chapter in the Uncharted game and see how this story progresses but being at college I can't play online with my ps3 due to some conflict with the shitty campus network so I'll miss out on the multiplayer component.

I really want to get the Rachet and Clank game instead because the humor looks well written into the story line. I've never ever played a Rachet and Clank game so I'll probably be a little out with the mythos of the game.

So for those who've played both what would you pick instead?

Wish I could pick both but I can only pick one :(

Ratchet and Clank was always kinda meh in my book. Uncharted 2, on the other hand, the world seems to be having a collective orgasm over.

Forgo the common route! Get Brutal Legend instead, and support Tim Schafer!

Meh, it's not worth $60. Great art direction, great story, great humor, and horribly subpar gameplay. If the game had been a generic beat-em up adventure with the occasional zelda/metroid like gadget, it would have been a solid B+ game at best. But they had to go and cram this reject RTS style game in there. It wasn't bad in the beginning, but every battle since has been a little more complicated, but I just gather fans, build random units, and tell them to attack. There's no joy in winning, because it's always the same thing over and over. It's excercise in tedium, hoping that the next mission won't be another RTS battle, and then it is.

Really? I enjoyed the RTS parts just as much as the rest. I was expecting Sacrifice reborn + Metal, and that's what it was. It's about time someone made a new game in that subgenre, I can't think of one since Sacrifice, and that was released almost 10 years ago.

I wish it had been a bit longer, but that was exacerbated by my rushing through the story missions to see what happened next. I'm currently playing through the game again and taking my time, and I'm still finding new little touches.

If you play Uncharted 2 with the proper tv to go with it, the visuals of all games you play after it will look like someone shit all over the screen of your tv. That's how pretty it is.

Oh, it's also really fun but it's short and worth only really a rental if you're only going to be playing the single player.

I really want to finish it, because I love everything about it but the gameplay. I was inching through slowly until borderlands came out, and now it's gonna take some time to muster up the desire to play again.

I saw gameplay of Uncharted 2 at a video game store and was pretty much awed. Made me want to buy a PS3 right then and there.

The question about Uncharted is thus:

Does it suffer from Tomb Raider syndrome?

Amazing and enthralling the first play through, and then shelved permantely?

After you finish the game, there's a little sticker in the case that fits over the "un" in the title, making the game "charted 2"
