Downshot:
Comcast is rebranding itself as Xfinity to unleash a whole line of new products and services that are all top notch.

So far so Good.

Today, it offers Internet download speeds of up to 50 megabits per second, and Watson said Xfinity markets will see speeds of up to 100 megabits within 100 days of the rebranding.
Ok, I thought the big cable companies were going to congress whining about how Joe Downloader was choking teh interwebz to death, Oh no, we just needed to change the name. :mad2:

Well thank goodness they fixed that mess. Now we need to go from 4 million channels of crap to one or two that actually have something worth watching.

Just because they offer faster speeds doesn't mean they will give up on wanting to limit the heavy users.

And they are changing their name because Comcast sucks and people know it. Calling a duck a swan doesn't make it a swan.

Comcast has been, overall, pretty good for us. Way better than any of the other options here in town and easily the fastest.

Be sure to check your contract too: Most high speed providers don't guarantee that you'll be getting that top speed, but that you'll be getting up to that speed. It's basically their loophole to cut you off if you start to become a problem.

iirc properly they actually passed a law in Spain so that internet providers were required to provide at least 80%~ of what they promised.
