Well, for once this was not my fault.
I backed everything up so that Ame could work on the test forum to upgrade the software and she changed a setting that made the databases for Test and Prod the same. Had she done any upgrade attempt at that time everything would have been kaput.
We figured out what was going on, I locked everything down in case we had to restore from saved data and then we turned it back on.
Disaster averted!
