Yum!

Donut.

Double YUM!

The trees are starting to change colors - there's a brilliant orange tree just down the road. Soon all the trees visible from my bedroom will be red, gold, and orange, the air will be crisp and clear, and the scent of wood fireplaces will blow through the town.

I love fall in Michigan!

Fall is when I miss Michigan the most. We just don't get that same wonderful smell of leaves out here on the Great Plains. :-(

I found some Macintosh apples from Michigan at the grocery store last week (they are very rare out here) and they were awesome!

Took the kids apple picking last weekend. The donuts were possible the greatest thing I have eaten. This weekend, I unleash four bins full of Halloween decorations.

Sooooo good.

Rain. Too much rain.

Bring me more sunshine so I can enjoy the bright reds and oranges and yellows, goddammit!

Ahh, fall. I am going to bake so much autumn squash... It feels great outside and I never want this season to end!

Here's the scene that made me post this thread:

I pass by this on my bike a few times a week (the company I am currently consulting for is only a mile or so away).

This evening was packed - we ended up going to a park, grilling some food, then going to a friend's house to use their apple trees and press to make some fresh cider

All my life I've lived in places that never really had traditional falls and winters. I love not having to deal with snow, but I often wish I lived in a place where the leaves actually changed colors.

The leaves in my trailer park are changing and it is oddly beautiful. But the fucking squirrels keep burying nuts and stuff in my flowers. ASSHOLES!!

Around here, we have a fuck-ton of Live Oaks and pine trees; while we do have trees that are seasonal, it's not nearly to the extent of states to the north of us).

Although the dip in temperature this last week has been delightful
