Chevy Chase is in this movie, too, so it's good that they're going back to the Eighties when Chevy Chase was still funny.

Based on the title alone, it strikes me that someone along the line ... maybe the writer, a producer, the director, some of the actors ... saw it and thought "Hmm, the grassroots marketing for this will be just like Snakes on a Plane!"

The most recent John Cusack movies to also feature Joan Cusack were War, Inc and Martian Child. Before that, they weren't in a movie together since High Fidelity. Joan is not in any of the movies currently listed as "In Production" on John Cusack's imdb page.
