The size of an NFL football stuffed with five different kinds of Italian meats. Why am I posting this? Because it was one of the single most greatest experiences of my life.

Mmmm love me some Strombolli/Calzones. Usually share one of that size, but yes, the experience IS amazing!

.... Where might such a magnificent specimen of the breed?
Visiting my cousins this weekend. I got the small. The large is the size of a small table, I shit you not.

Maybe in medieval Pinocchio.
It's a whale now.

Being Canadian, I thought you said "zamboni".

I had a calzone tonight, too.
There used to be a little hole in the wall italian place near my last job that had stromboli that were essentially full-sized pizzas folded over. One had every single meat in the place stuffed into it and was gigantic. We nicknamed it the Death Sandwich because if you ate it all in one sitting, you were very likely to have a heart attack.

I seriously am... I've not welled up like this since I found the new BBQ joint here (which subsequently ended up closing... bad location and poor advertising)
No Dave is right. That's the name of the guy who used him in his puppet show.

Fuck, in Alberta, our beef might be better than the rest of yours and there's a steakhouse every block or two, but man our pizza joints are fucking garbage. Every single one. The only one I really liked I used to live by. Little Sicily's. Rocko, the owner, was awesome and he only hired hot high school girls to work the front. I miss that place. It made junior high amazing.

I can't help following this thread title in my head with "...and I liked it."
Try a "steak bomb" if ever in Boston. It's a sub roll with chipped up steak mixed with bell peppers, cheese, bacon, and pepperoni. You'll feel like you've died and gone to heaven. If you have a heart condition, you might actually.

When I'm in Boston it's Cambridge Brewing Company for beer and some of their excellent menu choices. And beer. Never had a steak bomb and when I get that way or points North it's all about finding good lobster or lobster roll. Been to Caruso's while up that way for soccer tournaments and they are good but did not have their stromboli so I will next time! Made lots of stromboli as a teen working in a local Italian pizza and pasta restaurant, still make them every once in a while for the fun of it, and now that you have me really hungry I'm off on a quest for lunch!
