I LIKE TACOS... but burritos are ok, too.

Apparently Chipotle's is running a 20 day long puzzle contest, with daily prizes of 1 year free burritos, and a grand prize of 20 years of free burritos.

I know some of you like puzzles, and others like burritos, so I figured someone here might be interested in knowing about it:

(no, that isn't an affiliate link)

If you sign up prior to the 13th (by Friday this week) you supposedly get an extra hint that will help you with the puzzles.

So far signing up encourages you to provide your cell phone number for text message hints, facebook, twitter, and g+. I signed up my cellphone and it did indeed send me a code that should help me solve a puzzle, along with a hint of some sort.

So, like most promotions of this nature, they're keen to have you help build their social network. Not worth it for most people, but perhaps there's a few of you who, like me, are willing to sell their soul for food.

Plus maybe you can give me help on the puzzles each day...

Ayup. But if the puzzles are fun, then it's no different than buying game from the app store and wasting time on that.

Damn it steiny! I don't need more competition.

And from past experience, when they say a free burrito, they mean any of their menu items, which includes tacos.

They've changed the rules slightly. They're going to allow answers all day for the last puzzle, rather than just counting the first few to answer it. You can still only answer it once, though. If your first guess is not correct then you are not going to be entered in the drawing for the grand prize.

Makes me wonder if the sites providing answers will put up something incorrect, just to cheaters off and reduce the size of the pool for the drawing.

Today's puzzle was a binary puzzle, so it was fun.

Tomorrow is the last day. You can still log in today, fill in all 19 existing questions, and then participate in tomorrow's puzzle. All the answers are available at http://chipotloco.com/2013/07/13/adventurrito-answers/ - The covervoter site above is now hiding the latest one behind a task. Don't know if either of them will provide tomorrow's answer, since it's for the grand prize.

Be aware that if you use the chotloco site for your answers, their answer for the cost of items Giuseppe Arcimboldo needs on his trip may be wrong. They do not include the $17.60 tshirt of the vegetable head guy, which relates to the name "Giuseppe Arcimboldo." Cover voter appears to have that right.

Hmm, I didn't take that shirt into account and I got it correct.
Did the site tell you that you got it all correct? All I got was a "Phew, you made it. Our elite mathemagicians are calculating your score in the chipotle supercomputer..."

What did you get after entering everything?

I assumed if you got it wrong it would just tell you that you were wrong. I figured that was the right answer...
