I need something that can keep the noise out and still be comfortable on my head for long periods, and worst of all work with a guy who wears glasses...if anyone has suggestions/links they would be my new best friend.

Wait for the WoW Branded ones?

Everyone talks about those Seinsenheimer ones or whatever.

If you're not an audiophile, but still want music to sound good, I'd recommend the Sennheiser HD 201. They're the best bang for your buck you'll get at the lower end of the price scale. They're comfortable for long periods of time (I wear them pretty much all day), although I don't wear glasses, so you might want to find a pair to try before you buy.

Personally I like earbuds, specifically the canal-phone type, for long-term comfort and good sound quality on the cheap. Most will block out a fair amount of sound as well. Currently I've got a Sony pair for my desktop, and a pair of Skullcandy Ink'd for my MP3 player and netbook. The Sony are overpriced and started falling apart way too soon. The Skullcandy sound nearly as good, cost half as much, and are holding up much better.

I wouldn't really lump canalphones into the same category as earbuds.

Good canalphones sound great, and have really good isolation, although some people find them really uncomfortable, so again, try before you buy.
