This is such a rich premise, and such a hugely talented cast, AND has so many cool action set pieces (fuck, the whole third act is one huge action set piece), but for some reason, I like this movie a little less each time I see it.

I think it's the "wow" factor of the premise wearing off, maybe.

Or maybe just a hatred that because of inception, BWOOOOOOOOOMMM appears in every movie now. Or at the very least, every movie trailer.

Or that you can't be smug about it anymore. I got so sick of people implying that the reason I only thought it was ok was that I wasn't smart enough to understand it.

I missed this. You didn't need to be smart to understand Inception, one of the movie's faults was breathlessly explaining stuff to you at every turn (sup Ellen Page)

You got lucky. I heard it a lot. People thought I was crazy when I told them it didn't strike me as a particularly complex idea. Pretty straightforward sci-fi idea if you ask me.

No joke, when the credits rolled in the theatre, I heard a woman behind me ask, "But why did it take the van so long to fall?"

This is still one of those movies that I really want to see, but haven't yet, and nobody I know owns it for me to borrow.
