Judging by the design on the suitcase armor, it looks like it is modeled off of his "Silver Centurion" armor of the '80s, which had a silver and red design.
That little note aside, I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THIS!!!

This is gonna out-do Spider-Man 2, I think.

@Li3n
IMO IM1 was, overall, the best superhero film since Superman 2.
Don't get me wrong, i don't find one superior or anything, i just thing live action when someone says "film".

I honestly found Incredibles rather predictable and mediocre. Like Avatar, it really had a "been there done that" feel to it. Like Stan Lee said when they asked him about Incredibles "It almost feels like I wrote it", presumably referencing the FF world it heavily borrows from.

@Li3n
Predictable, sure, but mediocre?!

Yeah, nothing really jumped out at me about it. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. My opinion anyway.

I would pay everything I have ever owned, own, and will own to be the extra that Scarlett Johansson has to wrap herself around for that martial arts awesomey thing.
Seriously. In that outfit she could make me do anything. Jump off a bridge? Shoot my brother? Bite my own thumbs off? Sure, you want it done now or should we get a place without a carpet for the blood to spill on, my love?

My testicles just dropped. Cannot wait to see the movie!!
Quote "Well, that didn't take long. Everything fun and terrific about "Iron Man," a mere two years ago, has vanished with its sequel.
In its place, "Iron Man 2" has substituted noise, confusion, multiple villains, irrelevant stunts and misguided story lines. A film series that started out with critical and commercial success will have to settle for only the latter with this sequel; Robert Downey Jr.'s return as Tony Stark/Iron Man will assure that."
Here's hoping the reviewer is wrong.

Shit. Don't. DON'T!
IT HAS TO BE BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL, DAMMIT! THAT'S THE RULE! FIRST ONE GOOD, SECOND ONE AWESOMEST, THIRD ONE THEN SUCKS!! DON'T MESS WITH THE SYSTEM!

Mex, you know reviewers. They've got to hate everything unless it has some dude flapping his wanker like "The Crying Game."

No, see, this worries me to no end because Iron Man was so fracking awesome that it shot straight to the top of my favorite super-hero movies, a haaaaiiir under Spider-Man 2.
Now, I was thinking that with the origin out of the way, Iron Man 2 had more than enough potential to blow even Spidey 2 out of the waters of awesomeness. IM2 is set, in my mind, to be my favorite superhero movie. Ever. I... I've built it up in my head, I'm afraid to admit.
DAMN YOU DOWNEY JR AND YOUR DRY WITTY CHARM, AND DAMN YOU JON FAVREAU FOR MAKING ME BELIEVE!!

Well with that kind of hype in your head, it'll have no choice but to disappoint.

I believe that I stated during the halfpixel days, right after seeing Iron Man 1, that the sequel will probably suck.
The reason I said this was because although the setup and characterization of the original were amazing, the action in the climax was pretty much mindless, cliched violence that did not show any of the wit, charm, or originality that the first hour and a half of the movie had.
Since all of the set-up was already taken care of in the first movie, I guessed that the sequel would, as most sequels do, focus more on the action -- which likely will be just as cliched as the climax of the first movie.
No one agreed with me when I said this the first time. I hope that I'm wrong about it -- I'd love this to be an amazing sequel as much as anyone else. But if I end up being right, prepare for my comments to ooze smugness for the next few weeks.
I may even use Charlie's emoticon.

Philosopher B.
It cannot suck. Downey + Tony Stark character = awesome squared. It's maths.
Found a positive review. Basically gave it an 8/10. Some of the details: Robert Downey Jr. rules again as Stark, Rockwell nails it as Justin Hammer and Scarlett is apparently sexier than ever.
Seriously, if you know you're going to see the movie anyway, don't read reviews.

I'm looking forward to it. I've only seen the trailer once, because I get "burnout" really easily for movies I'd like to see if I see a trailer for it over and over and over. But it looked pretty good.

Soliloquy
Hmm... Rottentomatoes says that 83% of critics like it. So, it looks like we were worried about nothing?
Also, apparently it means that Iron Man has some dude flapping his wanker.[/QUOTE]
His... Iron Wanker? I think thats a slightly different movie.
#45

Can that movie have Scarlet Johansson too, please?

The Lovely Boehner
I don't mean to call anyone out, but I think it's really stupid and terrible to claim a movie's going to be better because it has (hot movie star) in it. I don't understand it.
Back on topic, I rewatched Iron Man 1 last weekend and it was still just a little underwhelming. The visuals were cool, the Tony Stark was pretty great, but the villain was still awful, and the final fight never really got interesting. I didn't hate it at all, just fell way short of the massive praise others were giving it.

Charlie, I love you and all, but when it comes to super hero flicks I'll ask anyone but you... but if it's non-action movies I'll gladly look up what you think of it, though.

Don't ask Stephen Sodomuffin either.

But Spider-Man 2 is one of my favorite movies of all time
I also liked The Incredible Hulk way more than everyone else did.

Ok, then, answer as fast as you can:
Iron Man or A Serious Man... don't think about it, don't try to argue that it's apples and oranges, just.. gut reaction, now, gogogogo

Soliloquy
I'm going to have to side with Charlie here: the final battle of Iron Man was nothing but a mish-mash of cliches that felt like it was written by a studio exec.
All the other battles were awesome, though.

Considering the climax of both Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk had the bad guy saying something to the likeness of "You don't deserve this power"... yeah. I wouldn't call it disappointing, but it could've been better.
The Lovely Boner doesn't like a post regarding wankers? Interesting. You are no lovely boner. You are a boner of rage. And for the record I was semi joking in the original post (although most of what is considered critically acclaimed like "The Crying Game", and "Barton Fink" are usually movies that put me to sleep). I was going on the angle I'm not going to take the word of an internet critic who is slamming a movie I haven't seen yet.
Easily A Serious Man. It's the best thing I saw in 2009.

Iron Man was good. Not great though. M<ain actor really carried that movie. I'm apprehensive about the sequel... usually they tend to be bad and we all remember Batman and Robin. Crossing my fingers it doesn't suck a dick.

Well, we also remember The Dark Knight and Spiderman 2.
(Batman Returns was better than the original, also.)

General consensus thus far is IRON MAN 2 < IRON MAN 1
