It's about time wrestling got funky again...

Oh yes, it's silly, over the top, and ridiculous.

And I love it.

Wrestling these days has been overrun with generic, bland guys with just a first and last name...and not many distinguishable qualities.

This will likely be an entry on WrestleCrap.com years from now, but right now, I was genuinely entertained by this.

Somebody call his momma!

i havent watched wrestling in years because it all got super serious. this takes me back to the hulkomania macho man shit of the late 80's and I loved it!

At first I wasn't sure if it was a good or a bad thing when I first saw it last night, but I definitely found myself loving the funkosaurus by the end. A good match too. Brodus moves well for a big man. Plus I imagine the super-serious "it's real to me" IWC is going to hate it. Which is a plus in my eyes.

I liked the dancers.

Oh, and I guess clay was entertaining too.

Favorite part of the match:

Fan: "YOU SUCK BRODUS CLAY!"

Brodus: "My bad!"

My buddy called me and said "you've got to pull up the youtube video of Chris Jericho's return last Monday night. It was epic." I was 8 minutes into it when I realized Jericho wasn't going to say a word after hyping the crowd up. Classic heel.
But my favorite clips are of R Truth talking about "lil Jimmies." That's some good stuff.

I swear, I thought Jericho was going to start singing the Trololol song any minute.

Man, he's coming out to Ernest Miller's last WWE theme. That's some lazy sheeeet.

That is the most awkwardly shaped man I have ever seen. Holy shit.

And hey, Michael Cole didn't shit all over everything that happened. That's a fucking nice change. Michael Cole is fucking awful.

Eh, it's not the first time music has been re-hashed. Kurt Angle's music was The Patriot's, for example.

From what I understand Brodus was supposed to be a beast when he debuted but he tweeted a spoiler for his first show and it pissed the WWE brass off so they postponed his debut and started making his "debut" a joke week after week. I don't watch wrestling on a regular basis but I do follow a wrestling website for news and video clips which is where I got the story from. This is probably to humble Brodus a bit.

Now that's hilarious!

Though, I don't remember Kane ever talking before he took the mask off.

I saw this and was worried Terry Funk was making a(nother) comeback or something.

That reminds me. Most unbelievable thing on RAW last night? Mick Foley being dropped after a single hit by Johnny Ace with the microphone.

Seriously. Mick Foley could get hit by a truck and walk it off.

I wasn't a big fan of this watching the first video but the Funkasaurus grows on you. The most recent video was great. This is the WWE I miss. Where they had fun with the story lines.

This.... this is magnificent. With this one character, you have started to rekindle a long-dead enjoyment of professional wrestling... awesome!

According to sources, WWE officials have put the Brodus Clay gimmick on hold for now. Vince McMahon apparently feels that Clay needs to work on his in-ring style. The match between Clay and Heath Slater several weeks ago was said to have been the final straw. It should be noted that the match never aired on SmackDown due to post-production edits.

This makes me sad.

Somebody must have finally gotten a hold of his momma. :(

I loved the gimmick, but every match was the same thing.

When they bring him back William Regal needs to feud with him, via proxy. Then again William Regal just needs to be on TV more.

It's true, they just had him go out and have a 1-minute match with the same shtick every week. It was hilarious and fun at first, but it got old fast because they did nothing else with it.

See Nick this is what I told you about his limitations earlier. Clay is like the Hogan of his era, tons of charisma, bad on the microphone and no in ring workrate. That doesn't cut it anymore.

Also, http://www.kayfabenews.com/ is awesome!
