I know there's alot of hate for Avatar, I thoroughly enjoyed it myself, but I'm really glad to hear there's a sequel (though there was no doubt with the success of the first film). Not only that, but he's going for the X-Prize while he's at it.

I'm sure that $10mil won't even be a drop in the ocean (pun intended) for what he's going to spend filming this, but an interesting side note none the less.

Two billion dollars from Avatar? Holy crap...

It was pretty popular. Sure, the plot was a bit hackneyed, but it was still quite impressive cinema.

I thought it was an a good movie. The plot was alright and yeah, it was the special effects that really made the movie, but I enjoyed it. Kind of lame how they called that stuff unobtanium, though.... >.>

Yep, James Cameron made the highest grossing movie ever. Twice. In a row.

Cameron is quite flexible, 10(ish) years ago he made the biggest film ever for 14 year old girls, last year he made the biggest film ever for 14 year old boys.
