Holy balls. :( I'm gonna watch Planes, Trains & Automobiles in remembrance.

Whoa! This one came out of left field. Was he ill?

Heart attack. He was only 59 and he never saw it coming. Very scary.

Ok, FINALLY saw something else mentioning this.

Damn it people from my childhood, STOP DYING ALL AT ONCE!!! :waah:

I am now a sad farmer Ted.
I just watched that the other night. I think it's funny that everyone in the credits is named, but AMH's character is just "The Geek". Hell, even John Cusack's character is listed with an actual name!

The cat was on fire in the 80's. That's a killer list. May Bender fire up a fatty on that puffy cloud with you.

You realize what this means don't you? John Hughes movie memorial marathons, hopefully this power will be used for good and not evil, but I have a bad feeling about this.

:waah:

As sson as I come back from my friend's wedding tomorrow I'll start my own John Hughes marathon, there's a lot of teenage memories in my DVD shelves.

:waah:

Weird Science and Ferris Bueller have always been favorites of mine, I'd like to watch Sixteen Candles and Pretty in Pink again.

I've never actually seen Breakfast Club. :(

Aside from a handful (Planes, Trains, Automobiles; Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Uncle Buck) I pretty much dislike/don't care about his films, but he was a definitive 'eighties' director it seems, and I was a child of the 90s. A sad loss anyways, although I was more panicked when I momentarily confused him with John Waters, whom I absolutely love.
