Not sure of what at this point, but he was big into cancer charities, so that might be a clue.

I had no idea he was even sick.

He's been part of the Jimmy V foundation since the very beginning in the 90s, so that doesn't tell us much. Also, everyone at ESPN seemed really surprised by this. People have pointed out that he was writing a book on depression, but I really hope that wasn't it.

Regardless, it will be weird not hearing him all over ESPN. RIP
