Blue Jackets' Gaudreau killed in car-bike crash

Blue Jackets winger Johnny Gaudreau and his brother, Matthew, were killed when they were struck by a vehicle while riding bicycles, according to New Jersey State Police.

He and his brother Matthew were struck by a drunk driver yesterday in NJ while they were cycling. The family was in NJ for their sister's wedding which was scheduled for today.

Just awful. Fuck drunk drivers.

As a previously incarcerated and convicted drunk driver I'll also add my two cents:

I mourn the loss. I don't know these individuals or even of them. But I am aware this is a pain that should not be suffered. I thank all that is good I never caused this kind of pain. I do mourn for those who are lost and those that have to carry the suffering.
