shouldn't that be 'how does batman end up in the wild west?'
but its pretty obvious why. its BATMAN after all.

Was that.... a mechanical dynamite shooting crossbow?

I don't really have anything invested in this movie as Jonas Hex was one of those comics that I always meant to read, but never got around to it. So, aside from some crossovers, I know little to nothing about the character.

Looks like Wild Wild West with dynamite guns instead of giant spidermechs.
It's closer to Deadlands than Wild Wild West... there is a much more supernatural tone in the Hex series than a Technological one, even if you see tech time to time.

It's like if Wild Wild West fucked Van Helsing and the baby was stillborn
Occasionally. He HAS tangled with the likes of Raesh (sp?) Al'Ghul from Batman (which makes sense, as he's immortal) and Indian Mysticism does make many appearances in the comics. He also had a series where he was catapulted into the distant future when he was already pretty damn old. However, he generally fights more common foes like outlaws and corrupt individuals than the supernatural. However, some of these more "normal stories" can be just as disturbing as anything supernatural.

Huh. I'm still gonna see it but...huh. The studio seems confident in it at least.

I'm really just saying it looks like a horrible movie, that's the only reason I mentioned Wild Wild West outside of it being a Western theme. I don't know anything about the character or comics.
