Those who posted bail for Julian Assange are surprised to have to actually pay it when Julian flees prosecution.

They sound like whiny kids. "Well yes, we promised to deliver either Julian or the money, but we didn't think we'd actually have to do it..."

But, you know, it's a pretty cheap way to keep him out of prison, if you believe that his political asylum in the Ecuador embassy in the middle of london doesn't constitute a sort of prison. And they can visit him whenever they want, because they will always know exactly where he is.

I'm sure he appreciates their sacrifice.

I have to say I'm not surprised he jumped bail.

Don't plan the plan if you can't follow through...

All that matter's taking matters into your own hands.

I doubt it. I think that England/the USA will just offer a giant "aid" package to Ecuador like Sweden offered to another country to get the Pirate Bay founder, then Ecuador will just dump Assange on the front steps (whether he deserves it or not).

Is it wrong that I secretly root for this guy?

Someone get this man a volcano lair.

Or we could just throw him in a volcano.
