Justified is the best new show on TV until Treme premieres

Seriously, am I the only person watching Justified on FX? Episode 4 starts in less than an hour.

Anyway, the show owns. It stars Timothy Olyphant in a cowboy hat (should already be sold at this point, but I'll continue) as a U.S. Marshall from Harlan County, Kentucky who hates his home town and got out of there. He is involved a shooting and is reassigned back home as punishment. It's based on a character from 2 Elmore Leonard novels and a short story, and Leonard is involved as exec producer. It's a fantastically witty and entertaining show, and the acting is out of this world.

The pilot will premiere on Hulu on April 16. Anyone who hasn't been watching should watch because it's a great show.

Sounds good... I'll give it a shot when it's on Hulu.

Never even heard of it.

Yeah, it's on FX, only been airing for about a month, but seriously, it owns. This most recent episode may be my favorite (after the pilot). It's like a neo-noir western. And Olyphant is fantastic

Been watching it on my DVR since the Pilot dropped. Olyphant has been pretty impressive in his TV work, The Crazies was pretty good too.

I watched the pilot, and loved it, but I've been busy the last few weeks, so I've got a bit of a backlog of episodes now.

I think they're on OnDemand, but I'm not sure. Seriously, the newest episode (Episode 4) was great, and apparently next week is even better.

One thing that surprised me (and disappointed me a little) was that after the pilot, the show takes on a much more procedural, episodic nature. Like a USA show rather than the serial nature of some other FX series. It was a bit jarring because it wasn't what I was expecting, but the episodes are still ridiculously well-written and acted and supremely entertaining, and there are shards of the serial plot appearing in each episode. I'm especially excited, though, because from what I hear, the next episode is going to return to the serial plot full-force.

Watched some of the previews on Hulu... looks really cool...

I agree, a serial format would work much better for this type of show. Villain of the week does not work well for a character driven show.

The Pilot disappointed me on the fact:
The well fleshed out villain/best friend was pretty much taken out of the series in the one episode.

No, he wasn't. Raylan didn't shoot to kill. Trust me, he comes back.

Hope so. And having Cameron taken out this week made me sad.

Well I love Timothy Olyphant and this looks pretty wicked so I'm in. Doesn't air in Canada though, sooooo do I torrent or patiently wait for DVDs? Why must life deny me instant gratification?!

Watched the first two episdoes on Demand and it is a great show. Something to get me through the season ending Dexter and season beginning Sons of Anarchy.

Pretty good. Watched through the first 4 eps. Not half bad. I don't care for his "girlfriend", she seems pretty unrealistic but I guess other than that another strong FX show. Pairs nicely with Damages and a nice merlot.
