So, the site should be nearing completion. I have a friend working on it for me, and he's a bit swamped with schoolwork right now, so I told him to take his sweet time. But it's half up at this point, so I figured I can link to it. Most of the content is forthcoming, so pay no attention to the subtle jabs that my friend might be making at me through the placeholder text.
I was wondering if anyone would like to help me with a banner. The site was sort of worked out assuming that the banner would be what gives it it's life. My eventual goal is to take up photography, and introduce a weekly or bi-weekly banner that will feature some of that. That's also the reason for the flickr feed on the bottom right of the site.
Unfortunately, that hasn't come to fruition as soon as I would have liked, leaving me with very few options banner-wise. But if the current placeholder is any indication, even IF I had a library of banner images, I'm hopeless when it comes to image manipulation. I've only got seashore to work with, and it's not convenient for adding text.
So I guess this is a general call. Can anyone whip up a banner or two for me to start off? I can give full credit in the welcome/news segment of the page, and link to your website or flickr, if you would like. My intention is to keep it dignified-looking, but not stiff, at least to begin. Also, since the site is entirely white and gray, colorful banners are the win.
The banner is 1000 x 200.
