Interesting. I can understand from the video from The View, that if the first lady disagree to the president at the time, it could "weaken" his political position at the time.

What do y'all think?

I think Laura does not want to run for the Senate.

It was pretty well known that Laura Bush was a liberal before she met George. But because she loved him she bit back her own views while he was in politics. Pretty fucking classy if you ask me.

We could do a LOT worse than to have someone like her involved in running this country.

No kidding. Can you imagine Hillary doing that? I guess that would only work if one doesn't have aspirations of going into politics. I think it's pretty cool to support your spouse in such a way.

With both Presidents Bush, we would have been better off if their wives were running the show.

I don't know about that. Barbara is where W. got his intelligence, it seems. Or have you forgotten:

"Almost everyone I've talked to says: 'We're going to move to Houston,' " Mrs Bush said late on Monday after visiting evacuees at the Astrodome with her husband, former president George Bush.

"What I'm hearing, which is sort of scary, is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is so overwhelmed by the hospitality," she said.

"And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this - this is working very well for them."

Let's see. Sleeping on the streets.... or a cot in the Astrodome.... Rat infested squalor... or a cot in the Astrodome... Neighborhood that is the most dangerous in America... or a cot in the Astrodome.

Insensitive but true.

oooph, yeah I know people that volunteered at the Astrodome. Not a lot of kind things to say about the people there.
