Heard nothing, but I wonder if adding the additional element of a map grid is going to turn Magic fans away. The game is complex enough.

And I'm saying this as someone who adores tactical RPGs.

I think this could be a good thing. As long as they don't make it so that those with billions of cards would automatically win. You know, like the card game is now?

Reserving judgment until I see it in action for myself.

I thought that the guys with the most money would win because they can get the best cards?!

This is why I prefer booster drafts/"sealed" events when I play anymore (which is rarely); although there's more of an element of luck to the draw of the cards, I like the idea that it's predicated mainly around building the best deck with disjointed cards and the skill of the player.
