Anyone have any clues as to what this is going to be exactly? I know MMO rumors are already starting to circulate.

Not gonna lie, I am stoked.

My only gripe about that teaser is how off key the guitar is at the beginning. It's slooooooooopppppy.

But honestly... this seems like something besides an MMO. I have no idea what, but I doubt the MMO rumors.

I suspect it's going to be online... but it might not be an MMO. It could just be a third person action game like Lost Planet or something.

The retro Mega Man at the end looked less like he was ready for battle with Dr. Wiley...

...and more like he was ready to represent the Lollipop Guild.

I REALLY hope this isn't an MMO. I can see it now:

"LFG 40 man raid on CutMan PST"
"How I mine for E-tank?"
"Need gold for Epic Rush Mount plz"

From the look of things, it's probably a game with some weird customization things involving other capcom games you own. There's nothing in the commercial that even hints at a multiplayer capability -- the mmo rumors are just the result of wishful thinking, I'm guessing.

Maybe it's a crossover game like the super mario crossover that's been gaining in popularity? Play as Ryu for a level, or switch to the knight guy or back to megaman for some portion. That might be cool.

Knight guy? Ugh... why does no body remember Arthur from Ghost and Goblins? He's been in like a dozen games.

The video is kind of misleading. Why call it Megaman Universe when you have people like Ryu and Arthur? Shouldn't that be Capcom Universe?

Well, they're all fighting Dr. Wiley's creations, so that may have something to do with it.

I look forward to this with cautious optimism. I'm afraid of any game that isn't clear in the early trailers.

Finally a reveal of what the game is about. It looks like you make your own mix and match Megaman style character using various parts you've gathered (which effects powers, abilities, and stats), then run them through player and Capcom made Megaman levels to earn more stuff. This looks like it could be fun, but I hope it's going to be a Xbox Live Arcade/PSN title and not a $60 disk title.

You can watch a gameplay trailer here. And yes, that IS The Megas playing "Message from Dr. Light" in the trailer. No one is saying if they are doing music for the game or not (though it would explain why the Megaman 3 album has been delayed) but maybe we'll get lucky.

Wasn't there an independent project much like this released already on the 'net?

No, wait, that was playing Super Mario Bros with different characters. But yeah, basically the same concept.

Seems more like Little Big Planet, Megaman style.
