So I am sitting here, minding my own business, when a morbid question popped into my head. It goes like this:
Dave, should your unfortunate demise happen in the near future, who have you suckered into taking over the forum?

I'll have more questions after this is answered. Believe me, lots more.

Believe it or not but there's a thread about this exact thing in the Mod only area. Basically it has all of my passwords and logins for everything Halforums-related including the URLJet host information, the Google AdSense/Analytics stuff and everything else. The only thing that's NOT there is my PayPal/banking information.

If something were to happen to me (like the tests come back positive for cancer - I'm not kidding) all it would take was someone willing to step up and pay the $119 a month to keep it running and someone or somemany willing to step up and run this madhouse. My wife and kids all have strict instructions that if something were to happen and I couldn't log on that they are to post something to let you all know.

So it may be slightly morbid, but it's the kind of thing you have to think about ahead of time. It's called planning.

See, I was thinking there would have to be a dozen caveats to add to the highlander will. Something like

If a forumite kills me, it goes to *Hated forumite here* As an insurance policy.

hah, I knew it! For some reason I see you walking around with an old 1980's boombox using double D batteries and having a cassette tape ready to play that every time someone pulls out a sword.

"Dave, I am ready to fight you! En Gaurde!"
"Hold on, the tapes not cued up yet" Puts down the boombox, presses play...

Should the unfortunate ever happen to Dave I will use all my powers to bring him back to walk these forums forever, ensuring that we have a good start with a zombie populace and simultaneously denying him the gratification of leaving us and figuring out what comes after death.

Well, I'm just hopeful Dave remains healthy, regardless of the impact on the forum. I imagine someone would take over or reform elsewhere. Maybe Skurtz could sponsor it.
