A passenger fled from security officers after his laptop computer tested positive for explosives at an airport in Munich, the country's federal police told CNN on Wednesday.

Police are searching for the passenger after he fled the secure area of the airport, police said. Part of the airport has been shut down. Police said they were not sure if the man was still in the airport.


Passengers in Terminal 2 had to leave the secure area and be rescreened, an airport representative told CNN, adding that the airport is otherwise operating normally.
