My exciting night

So today started with my mom watching the kids for the night so me and the wife went to dinner and a movie. We first watched captain America but we are good friends with the assistant manager there so we watched cowboys an aliens afterwards. Well after that we aat around waiting for the theatre to close as the guy is spending the night with us but he can't drive because he's legally blind in one eye. As we are less than 15 seconds from his house and for the first time in my life I was first on scene at an accident. My wife was playing a game on her phone so I was like call 911 call 911 while my friend in the back seat bolted to the lady on the ground while I put the car in park and did the same. The lady "hit something in the middle of the road" an I say that lightly because while we were waiting for the police she was telling her husband to hide the weed in her purse and telling him not to let the cops test her because she was smoking.

The best part when we pulled up the guy was by her aide on the phone but he wasn't calling 911 my wife was the first to call get this... He was calling his friends to tell them about the accident instead of friggin 911 I mean WTF guy! From what I can tell she should be ok she was conscious and holding a convo with me and her husband when we left the scene after the police got there and cleared us to go. Btw police response time about a minute or two. I was tired but I'm wide awake now. Also just remembered someone pulled up right before us in an suv he didn't even call 911 and he just left without checking on the person in the wreck. Some people are bastards. But that's my night now for some tf2

Ok uhm, I'll try.

From what I gather:

CS and wife go to movie. They are friends with the assistant manager of the theater. The same assistant manager is spending the night with them. He is also legally blind (in one eye).

Shorty before arriving to the assistant manager's home, they came upon a scene of an accident.

CS immediately told his wife to call 911 while the aforementioned assistant manager rushed to the lady laying on the ground. After putting the car in park, CS did the same.

This same lady apparently hit something, causing a wreck and was apparently high when it happened because she was worried about the police discovering her weed and told her husband to hide it.

The man that was with the woman apparently wasn't even calling 911, instead deciding to call his friends to tell them about the accident.

The woman seemed more or less ok, and after the police arrived CS and friends were cleared to go. The police were also very quick to arrive on the scene.

There was also an SUV that pulled up right before CS and Co. arrived but didn't even bother checking if the woman was alright.

People are bastards. TF2 is fun.

That demotivational poster made me laugh. Not just the facial expression, but the question. Holy crap, they must have to put extra heavy duty keys on icelandic keyboards. Either that, or they just mash their palms into the keys and call it a new word.

Here's a readable version

Me and the wife had the night to ourselves and went to a movie. Our friend, the assistant manager wanted to know if he could come over later so we said sure, after our movie let out he let us stay to watch another for free (so we wouldn't have to go home then come back up). After the theater closed we were taking him to his house for a change of clothes, etc (he's legally blind in one eye and doesn't have a dl because of it). Well I turned one street earlier than normal and when coming to a small bridge came up on a motorcycle accident another car arrived seconds before we did. I loudly told my wife to call 911 as she already had her phone out while our friend jumped out of the car to go assess the damage and I put it in park/emergency flashers and the guy in the SUV that arrived right before us left. The lady was conscious and holding a conversation with us and her boyfriend/husband was on the phone at her side... calling their friends to tell them about the accident instead of 911 (we were the first ones to call the operator told my wife this was the first call and has to get all the info about where we were). While tending to her, mainly making sure she didn't try to get up (because she kept trying to) because she didn't have a helmet on and was complaining she couldn't move her arms and going to tend to her motorcycle (turning it off) When I went to turn off the bike my wife was nearby (still on the phone with 911) she heard the lady tell her boyfriend/husband not to let the cops search her purse because there was weed in it and she was going to be in trouble if they tested her because she smoked some earlier. Cops arrived didn't ask us for a statement (because we didn't witness I guess) or id or anything my wife pulled one off to the side and let them know what she said (and the friends that he called also pulled up on their bikes around this time). The cops response time was somewhere about 2 minutes or less or at least it seemed like it because of the adrenaline.

now things I would have done different. We keep an emergency first aid kit in our glove box with road flares and a mouth guard (in case of cpr) and all the good stuff but I forgot to get it out and had CPR been a necessity I would have wasted valuable time running back to my car to get it (and I would have she had blood all over her face). Any other suggestions about any of this or what I should have done differently? all in all we were probably there for 18 minutes or so beginning when we pulled up to when the cops let us leave.

Side note: the lady said she "hit something in the middle of the road" but there wasn't anything there that I saw that she could have hit, and she admitted (albeit it not knowingly in front of my wife) to having been high at the time so I have a doubt on her story.
