So, I started learning how to knit a pair of months ago. As is routine for me, I had to go overboard for my first time, so I decided to make a huge-ass scarf with a shadow knitting pattern I made on my own. No previous experience, all taught from almighty internets.
The result is actually pretty awesome (except I didn't block it, because I have no pins and I would destroy it in all probability).
If you don't know about shadow knitting, basically you make a background color flat (knit-purl) and a fore color bumpy (knit-knit), then you switch where it's bg and fore to make an image. From normal angles it'll loke like a normal stripped scarf, but from steep angles the image appears
Overall I'm happy. I have a present for the gf 'n all. All at the price of some 14k~ sitches :3

On and off since mid October (once a week or so). At thanksgiving I did a nice crunch and finished the second skull during this week. Overall it was kinda time consuming because I don't have much skills, but bah
Nope, I looked at two shadow knitting patterns and, once I understood them, I went ahead and made my own pattern. I prefer doing stuff that feels personal.
