Mystery Improv.

Well, Dave DeLong is now a member of Mystery Improv (formerly M.I.C.E.). I've done a bit of improv before but nothing really special. I tried out, they liked me, and our first show with me in it will be Tuesday October 11.

For those of you who don't know, improv is like a cross between theater and comedy. There's no set theme or script, so sometimes it comes across like a Saturday Night Live sketch. Most people know improv "short form" from the show "Whose Line Is It, Anyway?"

That's what we do. Or at least, that's what we try to do.

Check out the site, which is being redone. They have a couple of videos up on YouTube already and each show is recorded.

Woo! congrat buddy. I love improv. It does take a level of skill to really pull it off. you have to be quick on your feet.

I've never confused improv for well-written sketch comedy. It's funny, don't get me wrong, just in a different way.

Had our first show last night....and it rocked. I had a damned blast. And I made -$32! Okay, I made $8 but we got $40 worth of drinks and food. Best part is that it was at a pizza place so we got to bring in people who weren't 21. A friend of my daughter's came and had a blast.
