Need some car advice

I've been thinking of changing out the halogens for some xenon headlamps. Does anyone have experience with those conversion kits? I am somewhat concerned about light spread, since it is my understanding that aftermarket xenon lamps sometimes have an irregular throw pattern due to not being explicitly designed for a given reflector. Also, I came across a kit for $80 bucks, which seems pretty darn cheap. Is that the norm these days, or is it junk? If anybody has experience to share, I'd appreciate it.

Check under your hood. There should be a sticker that lists the year of your car somewhere along the edges (or the drivers manual). Go for 6000k lowbeams.

Do yourself a favor and save some money. Just turn on your high beams when driving at night. You'll be able to see better than you normally would, and do just as good a job blinding all the other drivers coming toward you.

Mercedes and BMW have auto adjusting xenon's that won't blind other drivers. These kits really won't do that, but in all honesty the reason people think xenon's 'blind' them is because they look straight at them due to the different radiance vs halogen's. People had the exact same complaints when halogen bulbs were first introduced. In short, Covar's being an old fogie.
