Looks good. I'm not going to get over-hyped for it though. I don't think it's going to be the second coming of Christ, but it might be a really solid action flick.

Grrr. :explode: Why does Apple keep blocking ways to save movie trailers? Seems they've blocked the trick of adding "h" just before the trailer resolution, so I don't know how to save a copy anymore. Do they really think this will get more people to buy Quicktime Pro or something?

EDIT: Seems they've only slightly modified things, making it more difficult, but not impossible. Not only do you have to add the "h" but you also have to change movies.apple to images.apple , good grief.

FG, it is annoying if you don't have QTP, but the good news is, from what I understand with the release of Leopard the Pro thing is going away and it's all going to be integrated in Quicktime. Also, the way it is now isn't any more annoying to save than stuff in flash and other formats where you have to install or pay for firefox plugins.

I'm more upset by the fact that every time I see this film, I keep thinking it's The Last Airbender film instead.

Same here, I get all excited & then am let down. This other Avatar movie does seem pretty cool though.

....so it's about Furries vs. Space Marines? :bush:

The dude even "dresses" like one to get it on with another one.

Makes me think of:

A

Andromache

Dances With Wolves, staring Night Elves/Draenai hybrids, on Endor, with the Aliens props.

still really want to see it.

My wife watched it and said she thought it looked really cool. I agree. The more I watch it the more I like it.

No. I am scratching my head. At first I thought it was sarcasm when I saw people describing it as 'revolutionary'.

I mean I get that people have different tastes and I just don't like it, but it's not even like "I don't like that, but wow that's different". What the... what.

Well, it looks cool, but it's hard to get excited over something that...you'd think would be original but I don't know. It just feels generic to me. You've got space marines. Blue skinned aliens or...something. Dragons, etc.

Also, for anyone that's seen it or the trailer, does this remind you of Delgo?

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that those people just aren't into SF... looks pretty cool though...

I just think those aliens look completely cheesy. And an alien love story? Ehhh.......it just seems SO hokey. But whatever, strokes/folks

I am starting to see a trend here. The board does not want to discuss every movie opening in a single thread. Just sayin'

Especially if it is supposed to be cool, geeky, or revolutionary...

IMO is hard to make them both relateable and not cheesy... although i for one would love to see them replaced with something akin to the Shadows from B5...

Yeah, I'm starting to get the feeling, too, man. I just thought that more in-depth discussion of a movie would occur once it was released. =/
