Sounds neat, and it also sounds like even more of a time-sink than The Sims already is. I'm sure I'll play until my eyes bleed.

I think this has more potential than the previous expansion for Sims 3, which I never bothered with.

That said, I'm stlll waiting for a new version of both University and Pets. Most especially University.

I... I think I'm getting a hunkering for playing Sims again.... (I download it, play compulsively for one or two weeks, and then stop playing for enough time that I just uninstall it. This goes on once or twice a year).

I played Sims 3 when it first came out and found it pretty boring compared to Sims 2 with the expansions.... what do you guys think, should I give Sims 3 a chance or just go ahead and play Sims 2 this time around?

Man I love me some Sims but I found Pets infuriating. Much like I probably would IRL, and there were no such ting in the game as allergies...

I am super looking forward to this expansion and I'd love to see Seasons or a University equivalent come out soon. :)

I've already created the Sim and the house I'm gonna play first when I get the expansion, minus a few cosmetic changes that will probably come with the release. Yeah, I'm a nerd.

Underwhelmed, cuz, well... going from like 12 expacs (yes, I used it again) and toooooons of custom stuff to none was quite a switch.
The exact reason why I haven't switched to sims 3 yet, plus I haven't managed to "complete" sims 2 either way.

I also loved university, but I really am waiting for Vampires to make a return.

my wife LOVES Sims 3. It is nice. The custom stuff are coming along well and are free (for some). It is cooler with traits and stuff since players have "goals" too.

She will love this new xpac.

Yeah architect is looking better than I thought it might be. :) But I've still got a lady and a house both [mostly] created and ready to go as a tattoo artist, so we'll see.

Eventually I'll be playing all of them so no worries. :)

Wait is it out already? I saw a torrent for it, but I thought it was still a couple of days away?

I still have random Halforums descendants roaming around my neighbourhood in search of Purpose.

Like, great-great-great-great grandchildren.

Can you track them down?

Except it wasn't possible for me to have desendants... unless I adopted and trained....

I know you adopted at some point and it's likely that SHE had descendants.

All I know is I found a boy with greenish hair once and was able to track him back to you, but I'm not 100% the family name survived past that generation.

Argh, I'm playing and already I've run into a bug... maybe you guys know if it has a solution?

My sim tried to make some waffles and caused a fire... after trying to fight it myself to no avail I called a firefighter and he got rid of it... problem is, the firefighter WON'T LEAVE NOW!

He even offered me an "opportunity" to repair a TV of his (while still in my home, not moving from a single spot in my living room) and I repaired it and tried to return to him but the game refuses.. it acts like my sim can't get to the fireman (the "something is blocking my way" complaint) even though I can walk around him with the "go here" command all I want. And the fireman just won't leave, he's been there for 4 days now (hasn't slept or eaten or moved) and it's really beginning to annoy me. I've even gone to the town and returned to see if that made unstuck him. Nothing.

When I click on him I get that there are "no interactions available". WTF!?

Moving the fireman didn't help... but ERASING him did :D

Thanks Ame.

Now... I have another question... the buy mode is kicking my ass, I can't find anything that's not part of the "by room" sorting!! where is, for example, the infamous hamper you buy to stop sims from throwing clothes at the floor? WHERE?! I HAVE LOOKED EVERYWHERE!!! I CAN'T BUY IT!! The same can be said of the exercise equipment.... I'm sure I've SEEN it while looking for other stuff, but once I want to find it specifically... NOWHERE! WTF?! UNDER WHAT POSSIBLE OPTION ARE THEY PUTTING IT?! ELECTRONICS?! RAGEEEE

I found the training equipment shortly after posting... but the hamper I still have NO IDEA where to buy ¬¬

There's a washing machine icon in the Bathroom section.

#29

So hampers are with washing machines? I SAW NOTHING IN THE APPLIANCES SECTION!! RAGE!

And if I were looking through the sort by room section...WHY WOULD I LOOK UNDER WASHING MACHINES?!! RAAAGEEE!!

Thanks, though, I'll jot it down for when I fire it up next.
