Huh. There was a third and fourth one? I mean, Superman Returns continued on from 1&2, so I just assumed that's all there was.

Richard Pryor? Nuclear powered Lee press-on nails? Pssh. That's just crazy talk. You're crazy. Stop talking crazy.

Also:
Luthor: It's basically one giant nuclear bomb.
Critic: It's...a TAD more complicated than...
Linkara: NUCLEAR BOMB!
Critic: Fiiiiine.

I thought this was one of the funnier episodes recently. The team-ups between the Critic, Linkara and Spoony have been great. Although, while the jokes were great, the characterizations seem to flip around too much. Ultimately I'm okay with that, since it serves the jokes, but I have to wonder if it could be done even better if the two reviewers weren't changing roles every other gag.

Why the hell was Nuclear Man voiced by Gene Hackman? Whose brilliant idea was that?

You know what I just realised? I've never actually enjoyed a Superman movie. And I haven't even seen 3 & 4.

Thing is, and this might shock some of you...me either. To a point.

I enjoy certain MOMENTS in all three movies (there is no III and IV! No, shut up!), but as a whole? Well, here's a quick thought on each of them:

Superman I: I tend to skip it to when he arrives in Metropolis, or at least up to Smallville. The Krypton stuff is so dull and dry. Then, there's the ridiculousness of spinning around the world until he goes back in time.

II: Everything with Zod and company rocks. My favourite movie moment of all time is when it looks like Superman has lost and them, crrrrrack! But the mind-wiping kiss? The "fight" in the Fortress at the end (cellophane S!), a lot of really dumb comedy moments, etc. The Director's Cut, minus the ending, was a hell of a lot better.

Returns: The stalker aspect, the kid, the repeat of moments from the first two moments to be "loyal" to them, etc. But then the action was great and given the kind of production Hell it went through (Burton's plans, Kevin's Smith's anecdote), it could've been a LOT worse.

My favourite renditions of Superman? All Star Superman, along with The Animated Series.

Interesting review. Got a few chuckles from me. I liked the game show bit.

Also, I've never actually seen a Superman film before, but from what I've seen (and heard), I dunno that I'd be that huge of a fan.
