Gonna be one of those weeks, huh?

Unable to find a good link right now. Our work internet is spotty today.

What commercial was she in that I saw ever time I turned around?

No idea. I remember her from the Mickey Mouse Club. Because I'm old.[DOUBLEPOST=1365441494][/DOUBLEPOST]I had no idea she's been in a coma for years.

edit: Weird. TMZ says she's "been in a coma for years" yet they also link to a story where she escaped a house fire in 2011.

Man, I loved those old surfing movies with her and Frankie Avalon. Gonna have to go watch a few in her memory.

I remember reading a story once about a guy who got a wish and used it to get Annette. And he specified it wasn't the older Annette, but the younger, sweater-wearing teeny-bopper he remembered from his youth. So his wish was granted and he didn't take into account that although she was young he no longer was and he realized how creepy his crush was. Of course he didn't realize this until (if I remember correctly) he was being led away by the police. It was a weird story.

Annette Funicello has passed away.

For those of you who aren't old enough to remember, she was an original Mouseketeer, and a pretty, clean-cut, all-American girl who paired with Frankie Avalon in a series of beach movies in the 1960's.

She had been dealing with MS for some time.

She was before my time, so I can't say I have any memories of her. But I know her name was a mainstay of the famous Mouseketeers, so I can totally sympathize with all you older folk.

Merged with my thread but changed the title. jwhouk had the better title.
Thanks. Wanted to be respectful but cute.

And for you young'ns - she was Britney before Britney even was. Except she never had a "bad period". (Well, except for those bad Beach movies with Frankie Avalon.)

I grew up watching a lot of the early days of the Disney Channel. They showed the original Mickey Mouse Club all the time. I remember even as a kid thinking she was very pretty.

See, my concern was that we were working two trios, one of Hollywood linked people and one of famous leaders. Mandela's getting pretty old, and he's been in and out of the hospital a lot lately.

Sorry, man. Henson's wife and Infantino aren't famous enough to make the trio.
Henson's wife, I might grant you, since it was her husband that was the big name.

Infantino, though? He only helped herald in the Silver Age of comics and co-created The Flash as we know him today.
