The 8th Annual Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards are now accepting nominations till Aug. 31st. They've added 2 new categories... Best Comedy Ensemble and Best Comedian in the Performing Arts categories. We should try and get as many nominations as possible. The nominations will be validated and the top nominees in each category are put on a ballot that is sent to members of the OEAA Academy, consisting of over 100 established artists, industry professionals and cultural journalists. These tallied ballots will give us our Omaha Entertainment & Arts Awards winners which will be announced at the award show in February of 2014.

I've submitted our 1st nomination, and my parents each submitted a nominations. Even if we don't win the category, it's important to show "established artists, industry professionals, and cultural journalists" that we are within the top 5 groups in Omaha. So, here's how you submit a nomination:

1) Go to link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/oeaa2013

2) Submit your name & address (just your city), zip code, and your email address, to deter multiple votes.

3) Click "Next" scroll down and click "Next".

4) Mandatory - In Line 20 Type: "Workhouse Improv Troupe" and click "Next"

5) Click "Done"

Our chances greatly increase with the number of nominations we receive. There are no restrictions as to where (geographically) these nominations come from, only that the nominees live/perform within 100 miles of Omaha. Copy/Paste these instructions and ask every family member and friend you know to take 2 minutes out of their day and nominate us once. I'm going to continue to ask my family and friends to nominate me, and I will ask them to nominate us as well. Nomination period ends August 31st.

Geez, @Espy is like a cheerleader for me! Thanks, man! And thanks to anyone who takes the time. I'd love to get into the final few, if for nothing else than the exposure it brings.

Us artists gotta support each other. I expect every damn board member to do this or else I will hunt them all down one by one and hide stinky diapers in their houses.

I'm sure they're wondering why a busload of Dutch and Belgian people all seem to enjoy the Workhouse Improv Troupe so much. Must've performed for a cruise ship or a tourist plane making a lay-over stop or something.
