Does anybody use a personal wiki? I just downloaded Tomboy to keep all of my notes on, but I'm not sure about some of the features. Or rather, I'd like features that it doesn't have.
Problem 1: After playing with it, I discovered that if I name one note "Death Star" and another note "Star Wars," there are conflicts. If I, for example, wanted to talk about a war between Death Stars, and typed in a note the words "Death Star Wars" it jumbles "Death Star" and "Star Wars," and links to "Death Star Wars," creating a whole new note in the process. Basically, what I'm saying is that it doesn't give me enough control with linking.
Another example would be "Jiffy." There is a cab company in this city with that name, and as long as I have an entry named "Jiffy," it'll link in places I don't necessarily want it to, like if I wanted to use the phrase "in a jiffy"
I'll admit that this problem came about specifically because I was looking for problems in the linking, and that there are likely solutions (Such as calling the "Jiffy" note "Jiffy Cabs"). I just didn't want to be caught in a situation later on, when I have a lot of data invested in my notekeeping software, and I discover an issue in a context where solutions are complex and/or counter-intuitive.
Problem 2: There doesn't seem to be any support for images, which is a problem, because I sort of wanted to include images in notes about people.
So. Does anyone else use a personal wiki? What do you use, and what do you like?

A personal Wiki? Sounds cool, but I never knew they existed!

Yeah, it's a fairly new concept to me too to be honest, but I've gotten fed up with keeping scraps of paper in various drawers, folders, portfolios and text files. Plus the convenience of being able to link notes together is fantastic.
I wish I had this back when I was just starting to muck about with philosophy in school.

A couple forums I'm on have forum wikis that explain some in jokes and history stuff. That's the closest.
