Alright, here it is, you've asked for it and now you peons, er... "friends", ahem... have the opportunity to pick the game I play during my Spring Break.

You get one vote so choose wisely. Pick soon because I'm going to get the game YOU halforum folks pick this weekend (unless you pick GOW 3 which comes out Tuesday). Feel free to lobby for your game, because while I plan to choose based up on votes I will admit a clever or creative argument might have some sway. Also my own personal feelings might sway things depending how much alcohol I ingest.

IN vBulletin for some reason you can't put up the poll until AFTER you post the initial post. Even though it takes the maker of the thread right to the poll it still posts the initial post until the poll is completed.

I'd say go with GOW3. I just bought FF13, and while it's an okay game, I'm already finding it hard to continue.

Though, I think you should take that 65 bucks you'd spend on these games, and pick up LOTRO! You'll have A LOT more fun. Trust me.

I picked GoW at random. I know next to nothing about all those games, and that one sounds cool. Plus, I thought the sex minigame in one of those GoWs was amusing, so there you go.

Eh, I only have 2 weeks to play anything then back to the grind so a game that would go on longer doesn't really work. I need games I can wrap up in those 2 weeks. I live a busy life m'man.

@ Cajun... yeah, It's looking like GOW 3, the demo is bad ass and I love the first two. I might actually get two. I desperately want to play and love ff13... but I worry I won't... I didn't even finish the last one... I just lost interest...

And if you couldn't finish the last FF, you may not like this one. It keeps the same basic flavor of combat, except now you only control one person, the leader of your group, and the other 2 behave based on what class you have them set as. So there's even less control than 12.

Hrm. Yeah... not sure... its just... I"m a guy who plays FF games so its painful to NOT play this one... Hows the story? If the story is solid it might drive me in.
And I'm not rejecting you to wash my hair (wish does need a lot of washing, after all, it's luscious hair... LUSCIOUS.) but I gotta be realistic and an online game is a bad idea for a married grad student/musician/full time manager/etc. hwell:

Oh, I hear ya. I played, and beat FF X-2. The story.... hmmm. I'm only 10 hours into it, and I have to say it's the weakest story so far. I don't wanna spoil anything, but you kind of feel like you started in the middle of the story. And the characters... oh my god the characters. There's normally one character I hate in a FF game, and 3-4 I absoloutely love. This one? 3 I hate, 1 I'm indifferent to, and one I like. I'm sure once we get their backstories and motivations it will change, but man... I don't know how much longer I can go on. Also, it was almost 3 hours into the game before they let me level.

That is ASS. I couldn't get through 6 hours of FF12--I fucking hate the Gambits and the MMO style and having to interrupt my characters' actions if I want them to do anything right.

Why does Square feel this is a good idea? Fuck that. Here's hoping for a FFVI DS remake, because it seems the remakes are the best we're going to do with the series anymore. And then FF14 is going to be another MMO. Yippee fucking yay.

Well, sadly, I am not going to buy FF13. I'm honestly a little upset because I really want to. The more I read the less I have any interest in it. The more videos I watch the dumber it looks.

Looks like I will for sure pick up GOW 3 on Tuesday unless the votes go a different way. I haven't decided if I'm going to get another game or not, but if I do I REALLY want Bioshock 2... although Assasins Creed sounds really cool.

Okay, update: After all the crap of the last two days has settled some I went shopping today. And check this out: So I go buy GOW 3 and Bioshock 2 then I see the Hollywood Video by me is closing so I stroll in... and I walk out with F.E.A.R., F.E.A.R. 2, Killzone 2 and Army of Two for SIXTY BUCKS. How freaking awesome is that? Killzone 2 is still 60 bucks at Target! I am off to kill Zeus now.

Exactly. Quit fucking with the basic JRPG system. I didn't buy FF so I could hit auto battle over and over and watch my party run around the monsters. Ugh.
