There's really not a lot to go on here. You said that you traded someone 4 "bills hats" for $60 (which is actually selling something, when you trade for money it's generally referred to as selling something), based on the good rep on his profile. Where exactly is this "profile"? Are these actual physical things that you sold this person, or part of a game? The rest of the post, sadly, makes even less sense. You "finally got something good" but there's "no hope for you being a trader now?"

What in the world are you talking about? Is this some hip new game that people are playing?

"Good evening fine sirs.

I have just attempted to engage in an exchange of virtual goods, and I have come to you for assistance. A gentleman whose steam name is SoReO or SkRillEx has used falsehoods in our exchange.

If you do not wish to hear my tale, you may stop reading now. However, should you endeavor to reach the end, you have my sincere gratitude. I was informed that I would receive 60 wing-wongs in exchange for my virtual Team Fortress 2 goods. Seeing that he was a gentleman of good standing, I chose to do business with this fine chap. After receiving my headwear, he cut off communication and changed his name.

These were the most valuable goods in my possession. He has already profited off of them.

I am a failure as a businessman, now and forever.

Become my friend on steam if you wish to render assistance."

He traded some valuable items in TF2 without recieving payment first. Basically he gave goods first and hoped he'd get paid and instead since there are no fail safes in STEAM about real money trading, he got scammed.

Ain't much you can do, dude. It's like when you used to trade things in WoW and got taken. Mods would be all, "Sucks to be you!"

If it happened in EVE, the mods would agree to get your stuff back, and ask you for the password to your account to verify.

And then steal the rest of your shit.

Yeah this happens alot on STEAM and they won't do anything to return the items either as there isn't any "over-arching" STEAM GMs.

Honestly, I don't think that Steam should do anything about it. A real cash transaction system is not a part of their game, so they're not responsible for what happens when people fall for scams offering money.

It's kind of like a prostitute complaining that a client took the sex and didn't pay her. Sure, it's unfair, but the police aren't going to do anything about it.

Are you trying to say that STEAM needs pimps to keep things flowing better?

If so I totally agree.

I mean if you do something outside of the system, don't expect the system to help you.

Pro-tip: Always get half the payment in advance. If they won't budge on it, don't do the trade.

In Vegas, that kind of thing gets you arrested for sexual assault.

In Colombia, that kind of thing causes a nationwide scandal if you're a U.S. secret service agent.
